We are currently open on Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm PST

What is the maximum rent time for items in store?

The maximum rental is one month, but you can renew monthly and keep the item as long as needed. We also have a rental to purchase program.

What is the in-store return policy?

Sanitary items are not returnable. All other unused and unopened items are returnable within 30 days.

What are the hidden fees when it comes to renting with Americare Medical Supply?

There are no hidden fees on the rentals. You just pay whatever the rental fee is when you pick up the item, or when it is delivered.

Am I eligible for insurance reimbursement if I live outside of California?

We recommend checking with your insurance first. We may be out of network, but if you have an RX you can try to bill your insurance with your RX and Receipt.

What is your rental service area?

Local rental services only in Ventura County, California. Local deliveries are complimentary within 15 miles of our location. Delivery fees will be addressed for locations outside of our delivery zone.

Some items are noted to be available in store only and not available for purchase. What does this mean?

Items under “In-store” category are ONLY available at our Thousand Oaks, California store. Items that are marked “online only” are available on our online store ONLY and NOT available at our Thousand Oaks store.

Do you do same day deliveries?

We offer the same day delivery for most items in Thousand Oaks, California

Do you do repairs on equipment?

Yes we do. Please contact our staff at 1-805-777-1171 to receive more information.

Can I try on some items if I come in the store?

You are more than welcome to come in and do a try on session. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you all along the way.

Can you special order an item you do not stock?

Yes we can! We are more than happy to help you find the item you need. If it’s not in store we’ll help you check our website. If it’s not on our website we’ll help with ordering it.

Can you bill Medicare?

We are able to bill Medicare for various items with proper documentation.

Does Medicare cover bathroom safety equipment?

No unfortunately Medicare does not cover safety equipment. Only Gold Coast/Medi-cal/LA CARE if they are primary or secondary cover it, with proper documentation.

Do you have someone in the store qualified to measure me for compression stockings?

Yes we do! Our experienced staff is ready to assist you in receiving.

Do you bill insurance for stockings?

No unfortunately stockings are not generally covered by insurance.
